Recognize the habits, physical characteristics, hiding areas, food sources and evidence to identify pests.
Follow Federal or State rules and regulations to properly perform pest control.
Use caulking to cover cracks and crevices where pests may hide.
Utilize a large number of highly toxic, restricted and unrestricted pesticides to eliminate pests.
Instructing occupants in proper sanitation and food storage to prevent the entry of pests.

Federal Wage System (FWS) positions require the use of a Screen-out Element. Points will be based on experience and training which are documented by your responses to the questionnaire. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1.)assisting with inspecting buildings and grounds for evidence of conditions conducive to damage and infestations; 2) assisting with mixing and applying hazardous pesticides in compliance with federal and state requirements; 3) using safe pesticide and toxic chemical. Disposal methods in poison baiting techniques; and 4) performing arithmetic calculations to determine use of pesticides.

REQUIREMENTS:
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

May be required to to serve as an on-call duty mechanic on a rotational basis. An on-call duty mechanic is required to carry a duty cell phone and duty pager and must remain available to respond on site to after-hour emergencies within two hours.
May be designated as ALPHA personnel and required to report for duty or held in a duty status to provide support before,, during and/or after special emergency situations, such as, but not limited to destructive weather, disasters or periods of an increased security threat.

Frequently lifts materials weighing up to (40) pounds and carries chemical solution and equipment weighing over (25) pounds for extended periods. Heavy exertion is required
Often works in cramped and inconvenient surrounds requiring working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently bends, crawls, climbs and moves equipment and furniture.
Work requires constant sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, stooping, climbing ladders and strained and awkward work positions.
Incumbent is exposed to inflammable materials, sharp edges and toxic fumes while extermination is in progress. The following injuries may be incurred: cuts, burns, shocks, bruises and toxic gas inhalation.
Incumbent is required to work in and under buildings that are often dirty, dusty and damp.
Outside work frequently requires long exposure to hot sun and occasionally bad weather.
Protective clothing, respirators, goggles and/or face mask are required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
