Machine Shop Manager (2730) with Security Clearance
GVI, Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a looking for an experienced Machine Shop Manager to provide leadership and direction in a Prototype and Fabrication Shop environment located on the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI Position
Responsibilities:
o Manufacture parts from castings, forgings and other raw stock made of various metals, metal alloys and other materials to specifications of drawings per the customer work orderThis may include compliance with military specifications or military standards cited within the drawings or specifications.
o Interface and communicate with customers as needed to confer regarding drawings, machining services and technical instruction to complete work order.
o Interpret written instructions and specifications including drawings and other types of conditions such as sketches or models of parts to fabricate a product.
o Operate various types of conventional and CNC machine tools and their attachments to perform machining operations.
o Maintain perpetual inventory and requisition stock as needed.
o Maintain accurate inventory& records associated with tools issued to and returned by workersPosition Requirements:
o US Citizen.
o Must be able to pass a Federal Background Investigation.
o High School Diploma or equivalento 10 plus years' experience managing in a machine shop environmento BS Degree may be substituted for experienceo Proficient in the English language Position located in Newport, RIApply online at:
