INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Summary You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Administration/Logistics Department of OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND.
Responsibilities You will manage life-cycle phases of application systems to ensure efficiency in information technology (IT) operations.
You will manage the administration of systems engineering to ensure that applications are optimized for functionality.
You will assess new database technologies to determine compatibility with customer requirements.
You will administer an organizations information technology (IT) life cycle management program to ensure organizations mission, goals, and objectives are met.
You will analyze information technology (IT) program effectiveness to determine if improvements or modifications are necessary.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Monitoring and evaluating systems' compliance with Information Technology (IT) security requirements; 2) Assisting in the implementation of IT security policies and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) duties; 3) Trouble shooting and resolving IT technical problems and providing assistance to customers; 4) Establishing network access to enable customers to gain local or remote access; and 5) Performing duties as the command representative for IT programs and operations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
