Logistician I (3402) with Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be familiar with or be able to learn Navy/DOD supply systemsPosition
Responsibilities:
o Order/procure parts and tools needed for system repair and install and be able to forecast or anticipate material needs based on current supply availability and historical usage rate.
o Provide support to technicians/engineers by performing material research, and resolve material issues and discrepancies.
o Work closely with shipping and procurement, generate shipping documents, track material orders and shipment to insure timely receipt and delivery.
o Ability to generate supply and material status reports and participate in meetings as needed.
o Communicate and coordinate with vendors and local service providersPick up and deliver parts for refurbishment, machining, painting, etcto local service providersMinimum Requirements:
o High school diploma or GED certificate.
o Active Secret Clearance requiredo Must have a valid United States Driver's Licenseo A minimum of two (2) years' experience in operational logisticso Must have familiarity with DoD Supply technical and administration policies, procedures, and practices.
o Proficient with MS Office Suite programso Excellent verbal and written communication skillso Excellent customer service skillso Ability to frequently lift at least 50 lbso Strong preference given to those with Navy Supply ERP (SAP) experience Position is located in Newport, RIApply at:
