This position is located in the Steam Plant Section, Maintenance/Utilities Division, Public Works Department, Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. The incumbent either manually or through automatic controls, operates all boilers and associated equipment in the steam boiler plants requiring continuous attention. The maximum capacity of all boilers in any one plant does not exceed 300,000 lbs. of steam per hour.
