These positions are located throughout the U.S.; however a majority are located within the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area, CA, WA, MD, VA, PA, NJ, RI and FL.

Provide engineering support for test and evaluation of submarine systems.Using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to improve quality of software products.
Communicate vital information to technical program manager, chief engineer, and line management.
Process acoustic signals to detect, localize, and classify undersea targets of interest.

BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT FOR ENGINEERS:
Successful completion of a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor''s or higher degree in engineering from an accredited college or university that has an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). OR
Successful completion of a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor''s or higher degree in engineering in an accredited college or university. The curriculum included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. OR
Registration as a professional engineer in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S. The registration is based on a written examination given by the State Board. NOTE: You must provide a copy of your registration with your application. OR
Registration as a professional engineer in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any state in the US, and my registration was achieved by means other than written test (e.g., State grandfather or eminence provisions), and registration is in a specialty field within or closely related to the specialty of this position. Successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) examination and completed all the requirements for a bachelor''s degree in engineering technology (BET) from an accredited college or university that included 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences (to receive credit, the specialty field of the BET program must be within or closely related to the specialty of this position. You must also submit documentation that you passed the EIT examination). OR
Completion of, at an accredited college or university, at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences that included courses as described above, and are acceptable toward a degree in professional engineering. OR
Successful completion of a four-year curriculum leading to a bachelor''s degree in engineering technology or in a related scientific curriculum such as physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology. My work experience includes one or more years of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Testing/evaluating engineering requirements for complex sensors and SONAR system devices; 2) Designing combat system test regimens for Submarine and Surveillance exercises; and 3) Scheduling the alteration and configuration of submarine control procedures. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
