BAE Systems in Middletown, RI, is seeking a full time Technician for support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Division Newport Naval Towed Array Handling Equipment Facility (TAHEF).
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Assist in the Overhaul, Test, and Certification all OK-542 Stowage Drum and Capstan Hydraulic motors, OA-9070 Stowage Drum and Capstan Hydraulic motors, and OK-634 Stowage Drum and Capstan Hydraulic motors
In addition to the above, this position will also be responsible for the following actions:
Overhaul, Test, and Certification of OK-542 Stowage Drum and Capstan assemblies
Overhaul, Test, and Certification of OA-9070 series Pinch Roller assemblies
Overhaul, Test, and Certification of OK-276 and OA-9070 Servo Hydraulic Valves
Make Mil Specification cable assemblies per approved Government controlled drawings
Assist the Quality Assurance department in Test and Certification of Cable assemblies
Required Skills and Education
Equivalent Technical School certification (can be substituted for the degree) and at least 2 years minimum work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)
Experience in reading and utilizing schematics, blueprints and technical manuals and procedures
Ability to perform validation and verifications of new processes and change procedures
Ability to solder
Ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and repair failed hydraulic motor components using technical manuals and approved troubleshooting procedures
Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Education
Prior experience with repair, overhaul, upgrade, testing, and certification of Towed Array Handling Equipment specifically OK-542, OK-634, and OA-9070 series Hydraulic Motors
