BAE Systems in Middletown, RI, is seeking several full time quality technicians to support to the Naval Undersea
Warfare Center's Division Newport Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC). The selected candidate will be interfacing with our primary customer, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island. BAE Systems is an
international leader in developing and delivering advanced aerospace and defense systems for military and commercial customers in the U.S. and around the world.
The selected candidate will:
-Inspect and verify product configuration to ensure conformity to drawings, schematics or
specifications
-Conduct internal compliance QA/QC audits across all program functions to maintain certification
and compliance
-Document non-conformance of in-house functions and recommend resolution as required
- Reconcile final inspection documentation for received items
-Work with engineering and technicians on specialized tasks associated with program
issues. May be required to generate reports, tables, and conduct analysis
-Assist in preparing for government or corporate audits related to quality control and safety
-Review quality policies and make recommendation for improvement
-Be required to maintain daily log of activities
-Work as part of a team and at times interface directly with the customer
Required Skills and Education
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Experience with general shop practices and safety requirements
Adept at following oral and written directions
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Use of computer systems and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarity with ISO quality requirements
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawing and specifications
General knowledge of electrical and electronics design and components
Preferred Skills and Education
Associate's degree and at least 2 years of related work experience
Familiarity with towed sonar array general construction and fabrication techniques
Experience working at NUWC Division Newport or similar government installations.
Quality Technician certification
OSHA general industry training

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
