HOUSING ASSISTANT

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing guidance on housing policies, practices, and procedures; 2) Scheduling maintenance and repair work on housing properties; 3) Resolving routine tenant/landlord complaints and disputes; 4) Conducting inspections of community and Public Private Venture (PPV) housing; and 5) Utilizing various automated systems (electronic Military Housing Program (eMH), Microsoft Office products, etc) to input application or referral lists and produce reports. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
