POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR)

For GS-08 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying riot and crowd control techniques utilizing specialized law enforcement equipment; 2) Training and advising subordinates on law enforcement policies and procedures; 3) Providing instructions on the use of law enforcement equipment; and 4) Developing course materials to train law enforcement personnel. For GS-07 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Issuing citations for violations of the law; 2) Preparing reports and orders for dissemination to other law enforcement officials; 3) Conducting preliminary investigations of crimes, civil and criminal complaints, to include interviewing witnesses; and 4) Training and advising subordinates on law enforcement policies and procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
