LIBRARY TECHNICIAN
For the GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Assisting library customers with operating microform readers/printers, photocopiers, and self-check machines; 2) Performing activities associated with access and delivery of e-Reserves materials (i.e. searching and locating materials, digitization, creation of bibliographic data, verification of URLs); 3) Updating guidelines and/or operating instructions to assist faculty, staff and students with the use of library equipment or services. For the GS-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Shelving books using the Library of Congress classification system; 2) Utilizing an integrated library system (ILS) to track items owned, borrowed materials, etc.; 3) Obtaining requested library materials (i.e. books, periodicals, pamphlets, reports, microforms, maps, etc.) both in print or electronic form for students, faculty or staff. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
