BARTENDER

Sets up bar for operation, including garnishes for mixed drinks. Mixes and serves a limited variety of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes. Serves patrons directly, receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to the patron. At close of facility, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), verifies amount of money collected and drops the cashier bag into the safe. Performs basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washes bar equipment, glassware, utensils, etc. to maintain a constant and clean working area. Ensures all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained. Performs other related duties as assigned. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling procedures to compute charges and make change quickly and accurately. Must possess working knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures. Must be a mature individual who can exercise control over a large group of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary. Must possess working knowledge and skill to mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a limited bar. A minimum of six months experience is strongly preferred. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS Work is primarily performed indoors in a club/bar setting with adequate air conditioning, heating and lighting. Occasionally, work may be performed outdoors with exposure to a variety of weather conditions. This position is subject to prolonged standing, walking, talking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting of heavy trays or objects weighing less than 45 pounds without assistance. May be exposed to loud music, cigarette smoke, rough language, wet, slippery floors, cuts, burns and bruises. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS As a condition of employment, the employee must be able to obtain a Health Card prior to first day of work. Afterwards, must be able to successfully pass a Food Handlers Sanitation course, thereafter to be updated and maintained annually. Additionally, the employee must successfully complete an annual CARE/TIPS training course. This position is subject to an irregular tour, which includes nights, and occasionally may include weekend and/or holiday work to cover all operational hours and special events. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
