Ability to do the work of an Electrician without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by:
1) Installing and repairing new and existing electrical systems in facilities 2) Making repairs by removing, replacing, tightening, splicing, soldering, and insulating defective wiring, 3) Reading and following wiring diagrams that specify where wiring, fixtures, and controls are installed or to be used 4) Troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. WG-08:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
