SUPV PHYSICAL SECURITY SPEC (ANTI-TERRORISM)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing project management, policy, and advice on matters of physical security, force protection and anti-terrorism programs; 2) Managing, implementing, and/or directing security programs, exercises development, training team oversight and policy for an activity to meet mission requirements; 3) Safeguarding information, personnel, property, assets, or material to prevent, deter, and minimize theft, loss, misuse, fraud, disclosure, espionage, or sabotage; 4) Developing and conducting security briefings and/or training for all levels of military and civilian personnel to convey security policies and directives; 5) Exercising supervision over all work and personnel assigned to a security detachment based on department priorities and employee capabilities.(NOTE:

Work requires some or moderate physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, and similar activities (e.g., inspect/surveying office buildings or facilities, rough terrain or remote sites). The work may regularly involve lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects of 50 pounds or less. The work may require some common characteristics and abilities of physical agility and dexterity to work in confined spaces and to move or lift moderately heavy objects. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of the work will be in a climate controlled office setting. Occasionally requires work in outside areas in order to inspect facilities and security posts, employ specialized PS equipment and site visits at construction sites. There may be some instances when the incumbent will work in areas where there in exposure to moderate discomforts and unpleasantness, such as high levels of noise, adverse weather conditions, or confined spaces. Incumbent may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment when visiting construction sites or tenant commands. Incumbent is required to work 40-hour work week with occasional schedule changes to partake in meetings with HHQ or other overseas and stateside activities. Frequent overtime may be required during periods of increased FP conditions, special events/evolutions, or operational commitments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
